Two students who were specializing in Library Studies decided to tackle the digital aspect of the Library. Knowing that the website and mobile app are the first layer of interaction for most Library visitors, a quick turn around was needed.

I accompanied Rita and Maya throughout their journey to identify the pain points, rooms for improvement and next steps. My challenge was to introduce Design Thinking to 2 librarians. Luckily, both students were able to understand Design Thinking and apply its principles surprisingly quick. So we planned and performed a 3 months user research phase where we did user testings on current platforms, focus groups, competitive analysis, user surveys, card sorting, and red routes.

After the analysis, everyone was very excited to visualize the analysis results into a working solution for the USEK Library website and mobile app.

We collaborated on designing the experience for both channels focusing on Humanizing the website, and personalizing the mobile experience.
